Since the Forgen’s first installation in 1986, there are now 100’s of units installed on sailing boats to maintain a charge on the boats battery.
For smaller boats typically using batteries up to 150Ah the smaller Forgen 500 series is normally suitable, whereas the larger Forgen 1000 is used for larger battery banks typically up to 450Ah. As well as recreational boat users, commercial off shore applications are also popular whereby a robust design is required to survive such harsh environments.
